I agree with the Court of Appeals decision to remand as the underlying judgment fails to explain the capacity in which Mr. Lecomptes roles as teacher, coach, and athletic director compare to the job duties of a clerical worker. In order to ensure that Mr. Lecomptes injuries are not “characteristic of and peculiar to” his employment with St. Tammany Parish School Board – and outside of the jurisdiction of the Office of Workers Compensation – a full and complete record is necessary to make such determination. Genovese, J., would grant for reasons assigned by Judge Welch.
