ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL
Preliminary review of the notice and documents before this court reveals a jurisdictional defect. Specifically, appellant appeals from the district courts minute order. The district courts minute order is not effective and cannot be appealed. State, Div. of Child & Family Servs. v. Eighth Judicial Dist. Court, 120 Nev. 445, 454, 92 P.3d 1239, 1245 (2004). Accordingly, it appears that this court lacks jurisdiction, and we ORDER this appeal DISMISSED.
