Published Order Converting Respondents Suspension to Without Automatic Reinstatement
This disciplinary action against Respondent was resolved by this Courts order suspending Respondent from the practice of law for 180 days with automatic reinstatement, effective August 30, 2021. Respondents suspension is due to expire on or about February 26, 2022. On January 19, 2022, the Commission filed an “Objection to Automatic Reinstatement.” The Commissions verified objection and attached exhibits reflect a repeated and systemic failure by Respondent to comply with the duties of suspended attorneys under Admission and Discipline Rule 23(26) and with the terms of our disciplinary order. On January 20, 2022, we ordered Respondent to file a response within ten days, which Respondent has not done.
Being duly advised, the Court sustains the Commissions objection. For Respondents violations, the Court converts Respondents current suspension to a 180-day suspension without automatic reinstatement, effective August 30, 2021.
Respondent is ordered to fulfill the continuing duties of a suspended attorney under Rule 23(26). To be readmitted to the practice of law in this State, Respondent must cure the causes of all suspensions in effect and successfully petition this Court for reinstatement pursuant to Admission and Discipline Rule 23(18)(b).
All Justices concur.
