Opinion

Petition for reinstatement to active status granted. See per curiam.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel filed a petition seeking to transfer respondent to disability inactive status after receiving information concerning her mental condition. We issued an order transferring respondent to interim disability inactive status pending an expedited hearing before a hearing committee. Following a hearing, the hearing committee submitted its report to this court, in which it recommended that respondent be reinstated to active status subject to certain specified conditions.

Based on our review of the record, we find the recommendation of the committee is appropriate. Accordingly, we will reinstate respondent to active status subject to the conditions recommended by the committee.

DECREE

For the reasons assigned, it is ordered that respondent, Corrie Ruth Gallien, Louisiana Bar Roll number 34179, shall be immediately reinstated to active status from interim disability inactive status, subject to the condition that she must execute a new one-year monitoring agreement with the Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program. The new monitoring agreement shall incorporate the provisions set forth by the hearing committee in its report. Respondent shall fully and completely adhere to all terms of the monitoring agreement, and such other conditions as may be imposed upon her by the Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program. The Office of Disciplinary Counsel shall review respondents compliance with her monitoring agreement and notify this court of any violation, which may be grounds for immediately returning respondent to disability inactive status. In the interests of justice, all costs and expenses against respondent in the matter are waived.
