ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL
This is an appeal from an order of the district court placing appellants minor child in protective custody pursuant to NRS Chapter 432B. Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County; Cynthia N. Giuliani, Judge.
Review of the notice of appeal and the documents before this court reveals a jurisdictional defect. The order challenged in this appeal established temporary custody of the minor children and set the matter for further proceedings. Temporary orders in NRS 432B actions are not final, and thus, are not appealable. See In re Temporary Custody of Five Minor Children, 105 Nev. 441, 443, 777 P.2d 901, 902 (1989). Accordingly, this court lacks jurisdiction over this appeal and we ORDER this appeal DISMISSED. 1
