To compel respondents to pay to relator, who is the official stenographer for the county, the per diem compensation which had been fixed for the office before his appointment, the board having subsequently fixed an annual salary. Denied April 9, 1885.
Held, that the statute clearly contemplated an annual salary, and that the fixing of a per diem allowance was wholly incompetent.
