Opinion

majority opinion

The judgment of the Supreme Court was entered

Per Curiam.

The demand of the plaintiff was for damages resulting from the riot of 1877, and was given to him by a special statute. It was to recover for property actually destroyed- and not for any consequential injuries such as the suspension of business. We adopt the opinion of the learned president of the court below upon the questions of law reserved on the special verdict. Judgment affirmed.
